Parks Professional Group has conducted iPad training seminars for the Little Rock School District and a community seminar hosted by the Central Arkansas Library System. Our points of emphasis are business productivity and education. We focus on business productivity by reviewing apps, mail, calendar and contacts. We review the value of paid vs. free apps in education and business. We also look at educational vendors such as Inkling, Blackboard and Google Apps to see how they can help us succeed in the marketplace.
Our next seminar will focus on presentation capacity of the iPad. We will look at the difference between Powerpoint presentations and those presentations in Keynote. We will review applications such as WebEx, Skype and GoToMeeting for telecommunicating purposes, Dropbox and Box for virtual storage and voice recognition app like Dragon Dictation.
